Elder Douglas King is simply a humble servant of the Lord. An anointed, dynamic and gifted preacher, teacher, orator and writer, accepted the call from God to preach the Gospel in 1995. Standing on the Word of the Lord as proclaimed in Jeremiah 1: 8, 9 “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. (KJV) He became a licensed minister in August 1997. In August 2004, He was ordained as an Elder by the NE Michigan Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop PA Brooks. Armed with an authentic anointing, his ministry has impacted a generation of young people for over 25 years who now realize that they are essential to the Body of Christ. Elder King has also served as Youth Pastor and District Chairman of the Grace District Youth Department. A ministry that began with a passion for the young people numerous years ago has now turned into a ministry with a passion for the entire Body of Christ. The apostolic anointing on his life has allowed him to operate in numerous leadership capacities within the Kalamazoo and surrounding communities. He is currently Vice President of Leadership Development for ISAAC, and an active member of Kingdom Apostolic Network (KAN). Elder King serves as a community leader, mentor and social activist. He faithfully served at Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. under Bishop Robert Hill and Superintendent C.G. Charles for 30 years and has recently submitted to his office within the Five Fold Ministry and accepted the call to pastor. Elder King has been called into leadership for such a time as this to advance the Kingdom of God on the earth. Sensitive to the Voice of God and possessing a compassionate heart for all of God’s people, Elder King desires to show people, “You are who God says you are” and that you can live a victorious life through the Word of God.
