Vanguard began corporate worship in January 2009. Our ministry reaches out to and partner with the beautiful people of Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood.
Our focus in ministry is on the whole person spirit, soul and body.
Our premise for this is that Jesus is the only way to bring hope and a future but we must meet people where they are at in order to help them discover where they need to be.

Pastor Michael and Elder Yolanda Stewart is a husband and wife team who Pastor Vanguard Church. Vanguard Church is an agent of change and restoration in inner city neighborhoods, by inspiring followers of Christ to lay down their lives so God’s kingdom can be forcefully advanced.
